My Interests

BUSINESS

Optimum Expressions International was my first company I registered as a sole proprietorship with the Corporate Affairs Commission in Nigeria in 2003.I have this passion to have my own company; it will give me the opportunity to work at my convenient time and get my ideas into life. I have actually handle some project, ranging from website design to building construction.

I am with a quality customer care mindset for corporate excellence with exceptional competence for managing resources and flair for marketing and business development.  I always strive to, and enjoying learning new skills and accept new challenges, and I consider myself an asset to any team.

Although enjoy design, I don’t want to be seen as a graphics artist but a business development manager devising innovative solution for business supports.

VIDEO PRODUCTION.

Acting in a movie do not really interest me compare to its production, I love the positioning of camera, most especially the crane camera, I am interested in the technical production of film – camera set ups, stage design, montage, lighting and post production. I don’t even mind gaining work experience in this area.

I have being able to produce and direct a short film, titled - HERE I COME. I did the post production using Corel Video Studio Pro, SwishMax and Microsoft movie maker.

PHOTOGRAPHY

I love images and continually aspire for a deeper understanding of photography.I tend to be more of a Street Pmhotographer, capturing things I found facinating and interesting.I love the effect of lighting and the positioning for the shots. On getting to the UK, I was able to compile pictures of scenes I found different from my home country.

I remembered the one bad experience I had while taking pictures, my camera was seized for taking a show room which I wanted to use for my case study, I never knew that I had to take permission before taking the picture, I explained to the security that I was a student and I wanted to use it for my school work, despite this, I still find time to take pictures. I just had to be more careful.

I have being able to publish two photobook and hopefully more to come:

SPORTS

Every Nigerian has the tendency to be a professional footballer, but I just play football for leisure, I remember those days when we use to play street football in our neighbourhood, it was fun, sometimes I wish those times could come again. I am a Manchester United fan- the Red Devils.

Basketball is I another sport I enjoy; I started playing it in UNILAG. I love Squash too and table tennis, we play table tennis on any surface – bench, table, concrete .My Architecture Studio in Year 4 also had a table tennis, we play both day and night. It was a means of relieving oneself of archi tension, it was always fun.

The Luton Hatters Korfball Team came to the fresher’s fair at the University of Bedfordshire and introduce Korfball; it’s a combination of basketball and netball, more so it’s a mixed team of both male and female player. I found it interesting and attended trainings. I was selected as a member of the school team and played at the Northern University BUCS Korfball Regional Championship at University of East Anglia. Norwich.

MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS.

Singing is a family affairs and I love to sing too, however I find myself playing the musical instrument , It all started with my father’s Box Guitar which I use to play with and I was able to develop me interest. I play the Bass Guitar, Keyboard and Percussions.

Bro Gbenga and Busayo Akande, Tola and Dimeji Sotonwa were my brothers, in the Church Choir and they contributed to my success, we do rehearsal together and share ideas. Muyiwa Aigbe of CACYOF UNILAG gave me chord basic on Keyboard.

Though I prefer playing the Bass Guitar (guess because you just have to play one of the four parts of music compare to Keyboard where you have to play the four parts) , I found myself playing the Keyboard even when I play in other places. My sister is now teaching me Violin, I am applying my Bass Guitar skills.
