My Educational Background.
My Primary Education Bishop Falope Memorial Nursery and Primary School Akure. 1987 - 1989 and Aunty Dupe Nursery and Primary School Ile Oluji. 1989 -1994
I started my nursery education at Bishop Falope Memorial Nursery and Primary School,Akure latter moved to Aunty Dupe Nursery and Primary School Ile Oluji in 1989. I grew up in Ile Oluji,it was a quite town, though we were living in the company’s Estate but I still interacted with the town. We were attending Christ Apostolic Church Headquarters, Temidire. I love the town and it played a great role in shaping my personality. During my childhood, I spent some of my holidays with my grandmother in Akure.
Before the end of my primary Education in 1994, it was time to plan for secondary school, I did five common Entrance examination- Federal Government College, Navy School Ojo Lagos, Unity School Ondo State and Glorifield School – A private school in Ondo State. I passed all the exams, ADNPS was a good foundation, I wanted to go to Federal Government Ido Ani in Ondo State but we had to do Interview.
My Secondary Education Federal Government College Ido Ani JSSCE 1994 - 1997 and Kings College,Lagos WAEC and NECO SSCE 1997 - 2000
I resumed at St Johns Mary Unity Secondary School in Owo, Ondo State on October 24,1994 – I got the news that my mother gave birth to a baby girl (I never knew she was pregnant). My Uncle - Pastor Tope Dada and my father took me to the School, there I was welcomed by my cousin T’Oluwaleke Dada, he was a year senior of me.
On November 11,1994 I left Owo for FGC Ido Ani when I was admitted on a merit list, it had being the school I wanted to go - its was a thing of pride to attend a Federal Government College then, I was in Niger House – Red house. It was a new environment. I met new friends, my close friend them were Wale Adubiaro, Biodun Omidiji and Dayo Ojo, we were all in the same house and we share things together, life was interesting in that school – smiling and suffering. I remember the time we shared together, the seniors, time for inspection and rushing for food at the dinning hall. Timilehin and Aibinuomo Mogaji were my cousins in the School too. T’Oluwaleke and Moyinoluwa Dada also came to FGC Ido Ani.
After my JSS 3,I could not imagine what to face as an SS1 student in Ido Ani, now your suffereing beigins, I had to leave the school more so my family had all moved back to Lagos. FGC Ido Ani will forever be a part of me, It prepared me for the challenges ahead, it was a school where you just had to learn.
October 3, 1997, I started my Senior Secondary Class at Kings College (Annex), Adeyemo Alakija Street, Victoria Island Lagos (The main campus for the Junior School was at Race Course Lagos Island), I was admitted into SS1 Alpha, though I was allowed to be a boarder, I was a day student, I was in Panes house, Mr Fejoku was the House Master then. Studying at king’s College was interesting, an all boy college, My father had to drop me in School before going to work and I will have to join him later at work in Ijora. Ayodele Mosaku, Umeh Ayikude, Segun Okulaja, Manuel Essien and Jide Aderoba were my close friend.
From April 2000, we stared our Senior Secondary School Examination O’level, we did both WAEC and NECO (we were the first set to do NECO in the Country.)By July we were through with Secondary School. We also wrote the JAMB University Matriculation Examination (UME) planning for the University.

University Education First Degree University of Lagos B Sc Architecture, 2002 - 2006 www.unilag.edu.ng
My JAMB score was not enough to guarantee me a place at the University of my choice, so I had to do it again, the next year - 2001, I scored high enough to be admitted to study Architecture at the University of Lagos Akoka. I resumed on February 18, 2002. We got matriculated in May 2002. My matriculation number was 010501024.
During my first and second year in the University, I was at the Newest Hall, I moved to Sodehinde Hall – New hall for my third year, On January 19 2005, there was a riot in the school on the news of the death of the Speaker of the Student Union House - Olaoluwa Akosile, A 500 level law student due to graduate by June. By 10am, we were all sent out of the school hostel. We stayed at home for about 4 Months, we had to pay N10, 000 and go through at form of registration before we got admitted back into school in May. There was no more accommodation for student so we all had to stay off campus.
My Studio Project for the second semester for my third year was terrace housing, with the basic aim of solving spatial and ventilation problem, you had to design a building that is aesthetically functional. I named my terrace house Ile Mogaji – meaning Mogaji’s House, It was a unique and different name, Its was in our local language, though I got a ‘D” in the project, I was happy with what I did, the jurors didn’t really liked the name but fellows students liked it and that became my nick name in the class. It was a design I will never forget.
My final year was the most interesting year, we were doing courses related directly to Architecture – environmental resources management, it was my best course by – Prof John Igwe (Dean of the Faculty of Environmental Science) I got A in the course, we did structures, building materials and construction etc. For my final year project, I worked on a wood processing company. The Federal Government has just places a ban on the importation of furniture into the country and more so the Oko Baba Wood Market was to be relocated to Ikorodu, so the ideas was to have an industry in Ikorodu where timber logs will be supplied - (even through the river, because its cheaper) and will be used for furniture, building materials and so on. It was an interesting design, you need to see it.
We had most of our time in the studios, guys and girls sleep on the same bed in studio, we play music and enjoyed ourselves, I also assisted my colleague in their designs, did free hand lettering and some drafting. Nkwocha Stanley - Pastan was a close friend, we stayed and worked together on our design. Ebhomien Ehimen , Opebiyi Kneeyi ,Oladigbolu Olushola Edward - Creativity, Ugbulu Evelyn, Hassan Jafar, Tosin Ladeloye, Ope Adebowale,Solomon Akinjobi (senator – he painted the school seneate house for a whole semester) were also close fiends.
By August 2006,B Sc Architecture was over, we had our graduation on December 12,2006.Architeture was meant to be six years but you have the option to opt out after your four years B Sc. I did not continue for my Masters in Environmental Design, I left after my B Sc, though most of my friends continued. I went for the National Youth Service.

I was posted to Lagos State for my National Youth Service. The Orientation Camp at Iyana Ipaja opened on 6th March 2007. My registration number was 1298.I was in platoon 8.We stayed in the Camp for 3 weeks, during this period, we wake up at 5:30 am and go out for morning drill, listen to lectures and do sports. For my Community Development Service, I was a member of the NYSC Anti AIDS/HIV Club. We were to go to schools to teach on adolescent reproductive health, sexually transmitted infections and peer training education.
After the 3 weeks in Camp, I was posted to Kelnic Associates – An Architectural firm at Campbell Street for my primary assignment. Mrs Seun Lawal was also a corper posted to that same office. My CD was at Isheri Senior Grammar School on Wednesday so I don’t go to work on that day.
After one year of National Service, we did our passing out parade at the Orientation camp and we were fully ready for the labour market. I worked briefly at Living Witness Limited after my service year as an Administrative Officer; I resigned August 2008 to further my Education with a master’s degree.

University Education - Second Degree MA Arts and Design with Internet Technologies University of Bedfordshire,Luton,United Kingdom 2008 - date . www.beds.ac.uk
Onboard a Virgin Atlantic flight from Nigeria to Heathrow, I left Nigeria for England on Saturday 20th September, 2008 for my master’s degree in arts and design with internet technologies at the University of Bedfordshire, Luton. The plane landed at Heathrow around 5pm but I didn’t get home until 3 am the next day, we had to do X ray at the Airport, it was not easy standing on the queue for the X ray, guess it was for our safety.
I resumed to school on September 23rd and thus far it has being interesting, my course had opened my eyes to opportunities that abounds in the creative industry; I believe this course offers me more opportunity in the creative industry. Live here is quite different, the approach to teaching is different, you can print your lecture note before going for classes, the classes are interactive and the lectures are ready to offer assistant.
We discuss contemporary art issues and during the period, I had undertaking different project varying form research to photograph and even video production, it has been quite interesting and challenging.
